Turtles on the runway

Turtles on the runway
snails are on the tracks
sloths are on the highway
with babies on their backs
a whale is in the river
and nothing can be done
slow is taking over
hey, lethargy is fun!

The hare was running backwards
and laughing at his foe
creeping down the pathway
and speeding up to “slow”
Harebrain tripped, got knocked out
and tortoise stopped to say
“I called for reinforcements
and help is on the way!”
